Rick Perry, supposed "Tea Party guy", has a spending problem? Yep. Not so fast Slick Rick. Team Bachmann is out with a web ad highlighting the hypocrisy of the "tough hombre" when it comes to spending.
BTW, we happen to agree with that last line: "There is an honest conservative, and she's not Rick Perry." But probably not in the same way they meant it. Keep Conservatives United might want to consider the proverbial beam in their own eye when it comes to government spending. Bachmann has certainly made a good living at the taxpayer's expense. From farm subsidies to foster care to funding for her husband's clinic, she knows how to work the system like a pro! After all, she was trained as a tax attorney, which is probably why one of her (few) actions in congress was to support earmarks. Tea Party much?
Governor Palin, on the other hand, has a proven record of making real cuts to government budgets, even in good times, in order to limit the size and scope of government.
